Daughter Blames Little Company of Mary Hospital for Mom's Fall and Death: Lawsuit
Woman says mother fell out of cot and was seriously injured when left unattended, lawsuit alleges.

A woman claims her mother was left unattended and was seriously injured when she fell out of bed and eventually died of injuries while in the care of an Evergreen Park health care facility.
Jan Camps, an independent administrator for the estate of Louise Camps, filed a lawsuit Aug. 27 in Cook County Circuit Court against Little Company of Mary Hospital and Healthcare Centers, Little Company of Mary Hospital Health Systems of Evergreen Park, Little Company of Mary Sisters Healthcare Systems Inc. and Dr. Talai Sunbulli.
Camps says her mother, Louise Camps, was hospitalized on Sept. 6, 2013 at Little Company of Mary Hospital in Evergreen Park, when Louise, left unattended, fell out of a cot with the side rails down.

The lawsuit maintains that Louis Camps fell face forward, cutting her head and fracturing her cheekbone. As a result of the hospital’s negligence, Louise died of complications from her injuries on Aug. 27, 2014.
Camps is seeking damages in excess of $50,000. She is being represented by attorney Yao O. Dinizulu of Dinizulu Law Group in Chicago.
