Dist. 124 Hosts Substitute Teacher Job Fair This Thursday
Evergreen Park ESD 124 is hosting a job fair for substitute teachers Thursday, Nov. 17, with some on the spot hiring and interviewing.
EVERGREEN PARK, IL — Evergreen Park ESD 124 is holding a substitute teacher job fair Thursday, Nov. 17. The job fair runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the district administration building, 2929 W. 87th St., Evergreen Park. The district is looking to hire short-term and long-term substitutes.
A short-term substitute must hold an associate’s degree or higher from an accredited institution of higher education, or show completion of 60 semester hours of coursework. D124 substitutes earn $150 per day.
Substitutes must hold a B.A. or higher from a regionally accredited institution, or beginning Jan. 1, 2023, enrolled in an Illinois-approved educator preparation program and have completed 90 semester hours of coursework.

If you already have the required Substitute Teacher Authorization Certificate from the South Cook Intermediate Service Center, you may participate in an interview and the new hire process on the spot. Be sure to bring a valid sealed South Cook ICS Substitute Teacher Authorization Certificate and a resume.
