Dog Park Unveiled Thursday at 50-Acre Park Grand Opening

Evergreen Park will unveil its new dog park during the grand opening celebration of 50-Acre Park this Thursday, July 31, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Happy Bark Dog Park features three parks in one, including exercise areas for small and large dogs, and an obstacle course for dogs currently in obedience training.

Each area is secured, so owners don’t have to worry about their pooches running out into a street, or dealing with bicyclists, walkers or joggers.
If residents like what they see during the dog park open house, they can purchase an annual permit during business hours at Village Hall, 9420 S. Kedzie Ave. The cost of an annual permit to Evergreen Park residents is $20, with $5 for each additional dog.

Entry to Happy Bark is via a keyfob, which comes with purchase of a permit.
The cost of a dog park permit for non-residents is $150 and there is a waiting list.
Residents can also enjoy smacking around some golf balls at the driving range at no cost during the grand opening celebration of 50-Acre Park.
A DJ and complimentary picnic refreshments courtesy of Meijer will also be included at the park’s grand opening.
50-Acre Park is located at 91st Street and California Avenue.
