Earth Day Park Cleanup Planned Saturday In Evergreen Park

Celebrate Earth Day and give back to the parks that make Evergreen Park a great place by helping to clean up the parks Saturday, April 22.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — Celebrate Earth Day and give back to the parks that make Evergreen Park a great place to live. Residents, businesses, and organizations are welcome to join the village on April 22 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. to help spiff up the parks.

Interested volunteers are asked to pre-register to help plan for a successful cleanup. Check-in will begin at 9:45 a.m. at Duffy Park, 9200 S. Millard Avenue by the 91st Street concession stand). Volunteers will be assigned a location. Trash bags and a limited amount of pickers will be available at check-in. Volunteers are asked to bring their own gloves.

Stop by and help clean up the park after you've had coffee with Mayor Kelly Burke at 9 a.m. Saturday. The location of the coffee klatsch has been switched to Room 109 at the Evergreen Park Community Center, 3450 W. 97th St. The mayor will be meeting residents and hearing their concerns.
