“In this 2020 Christmas, we hope to create blissful Christmas memories for our children,” said Kathy Figel of Edna White Garden. “Walking in our garden made to look like a winter wonderland and other surprises will be a memorable experience for kids of all ages.”
While “proper spacing” from station to station will be enforced, families are encouraged to walk, take photos and video to capture the sites and sounds of the entire garden. Ample parking can be found north of the garden.
There will also be the return of the popular "feed the birds" station. Children make their own string of popcorn or create bird feeders for the garden or bring home to their own backyard.
Each child can roll pinecones in oil and birdseed to create of tasty treat for the garden’s feathered friends.
“We all need to feel so good about taking care of each other and the children love knowing they are helping feed the birds for the rest of the winter,” said Figel.
Families are encouraged to provide a $10 donation.
Edna White is located at 111th and Esmond in Morgan Park.
