Engraffia's Medalist Performance Sparks Mustang Boys Golf
Three Mother McAuley and Marist volleyball players are named on a preseason watch list.

Paced by Alex Engraffia’s 40, Evergreen Park defeated Thornton Fractional South 167-206 in its first boys golf dual of the season. Engraffia earned medalist honors by recording the low score between the two teams on Aug.
Marist's Weisher Catches a 'Star'
Marist wide receiver Nic Weisher had five catches for 176 yards and had two touchdowns in the RedHawks’ 35-21 victory over Notre Dame on the season’s opening weekend. Weisher scored from 61 and 28 yards out to help Marist get off to a 1-0 start.
Because of his performance, the Chicago Sun-Times named him as one of the stars of football’s first week.

Rule Paces Mustangs in Three-Set Victory
It’s not often that a player leads her team in assists and kills during a volleyball match, but that’s the kind of day Sam Rule had against Crete-Monee. Rule had eight kills and 10 assists in the Mustangs’ 24-26, 25-19, 25-18 win last week. The win evened Evergreen Park's record at 1-1. Chelsea Christopher also had seven kills for the Mustangs.
