EP Candlelight Theatre Casting Role of Rolf In 'Sound of Music'

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — Evergreen Park Candlelight Theatre still has one more role to cast in its spring youth musical "The Sound of Music School Edition." The program director is seeking a high school boy to play the role of Rolf, the young Austrian messenger and love interest of the eldest daughter Liesl Von Trapp.

According to Glenn Pniewski, program director for the community theater, the role of Rolf is less of a betraying jerk in the school version of the beloved Rogers and Hammerstein musical, that the Broadway show.

Six performances are scheduled for Friday through Sunday, May 1 to May 3; and Friday through Saturday, May 8 to May 10. More information can be found in the audition packet.
