EP Residents Have Until Friday To Recycle Broken String Lights
Drop off your broken string lights at Evergreen Park Village Hall or the community center through FRIDAY Jan. 13.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — Updated — Now that the holidays are over, some of your string lights may have stopped working, or you came across broken or burned out lights decorating your tree.
Evergreen Park residents still have time to recycle string lights that are not working at Village Hall, 9418 S. Kedzie Ave. or the Evergreen Park Community Center, 3450 W. 97th St. Lights will be collected through Friday, Jan. 13.
Broken string lights are one of the most common holiday waste items. If you have broken lights, don’t throw them in your recycling bin because they can get wrapped around recycling equipment.
