EPCHS Alumni Honor 1978 Girls Softball Team At Homecoming
Evergreen Park Community High School's powerhouse 1978 girls softball team will be honored during the homecoming game Sept. 14

EVERGREEN PARK, IL -- The Evergreen Park High School Foundation is calling all alumni home for homecoming this Friday, Sept. 14. Alumni are invited to the tent in the north end zone to catch up with old friends for the big game when the Evergreen Park Mustangs take on the Reavis Rams. The junior varsity game kicks off at 4:30 p.m., with the varsity team taking the field at 7:30 p.m. Evergreen Park Community High School is located at 9901 S. Kedzie Ave.
The 1978 powerhouse girls softball team that finished in the the final four of the IHSA State Finals, will be honored on the field during halftime of the varsity game. Immediately following the game join your fellow classmates at the Red Palm, 3020 W. 95th St., Evergreen Park, for an after party. Drink specials and food will be available. The class of 1978 was a powerhouse for girls sports at EPCHS. The 1978 Bowling Team finished 3rd in the 1978 State Tournament for the second year in a row. Ann Kilcullen, Blair Pronites, Sue Myers and Linda Ballard then played on the Softball Team in the spring that placed in the final four at the State Tournament. Bowlers Linda Lesniak and Julie Monson played in the state golf tournament in the fall.
