EPCHS Announces 2023 Homecoming King, Queen, Court

Evergreen Park Community High School students choose class representatives to serve on the homecoming court.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — The Evergreen Park Community High School homecoming king and queen were announce Wednesday afternoon during a pep assembly. Seniors Jeremiah Whiteside and Samantha Ricks were selected by their classmaters to serve as their homecoming king and queen.

The students have been celebrating all week long with activities and theme days designed to boost Mustang spirit for homecoming, which happens this weekend.

Homecoming court members were announced earlier this weekend and are drawn from all four grades. Representing the freshman class of 2027 are Aiden Carr and Salem Majoch.

Seyenna Billings and Lonnie Mosley will represent the sophomore class of 2026. Juniors Joe Duffy and Xalani Mitchell were selected from the class of 2025.

Brian Benford Jr., Samantha Ricks, Lamiya Easley, Titus Morgan, Jeremiah Whiteside, Alyssa Mora will represent the senior class of 2024.

Members of the court will ride in the EPCHS homecoming parade that steps off at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, from the high school at 9901 S. Kedzie Ave. The parade will head west on 100th Street to Clifton Park Avenue, south on Clifton Park to 101st Street, east on 101st to Sawyer Avenue, north on Sawyer to 100th Street and back to the school.

The (5-2) Mustangs play host to the Argo Community High School Argonauts (4-3). The freshmen/sophomore game happens at 4:30 p.m., with the varsity team taking the field at 7 p.m.

Old Mustangs from all graduating classes are invited to the alumni tent near the south end zone during the game.

The homecoming king and queen will be announced during the dance on Saturday.
