EPCHS Art Department Announces Winners of The 2019 Art Show

The artwork of approximately 200 students was on display for public viewing.

The Evergreen Park Community High School Art Department has announced the winners of the 2019 Art Show, held Wednesday, May 8 at EPCHS. The artwork of approximately 200 students was on display from 5-7pm for public viewing. The Art Show winners were:

Best of Show - Naya Gilmore; 1st Place - Beginning Art & Introduction to Art – Leah Thomas, Drawing & Advanced Art – Naya Gilmore, Painting & Advanced Art – Nataly Guy, Animation – Giselle Saldana, Photography & Studio Photography – Miles Merriweather, Computer Graphics – Richard Jacobson, and Ceramics, Sculpture, Jewelry Design & Studio C. S. J. – Kayla Thomas; 2nd Place - Introduction to Art & Beginning Art – Nataly Guy, Drawing & Advanced Art – Emily Doran (Studio Advanced Art), Painting & Advanced Art – Ayrianna Coleman, Animation – Emily Serafin, Photography & Studio Photography – Amaya Rucker, Computer Graphics – Richard Corona and Ceramics, Sculpture, Jewelry Design & Studio C. In addition to the above award winners, EPCHS purchased a variety of pieces from senior art students so that they can be framed and hung in the school’s hallways for all to see. Those artists are: Nataly Guy, Emily Doran, Jayslly Mijangos, Lucy Bailey, Abby Ryan, Daivez Bell and Naya Gimore.

The EPCHS Art Department would like to congratulate its talented students and thank those who showed their support by attending the Art Show or extending a kind word or compliment. EPCHS art teachers include Ms. Libby McArthur, Mr. Tom Minarik, and Ms. Sandy Sanfranek.
