Athletic Director Jim Soldan was recently selected for IADA's Division 3 Athletic Director of the Year

Congratulations to EPCHS Athletic Director Jim Soldan who was recently selected as the Illinois Athletic Director Association's (IADA) Division 3 Athletic Director of the Year for his many accomplishments during 13 years as an Athletic Director.
Early in his career, Soldan spent 10 years as an art teacher and head wrestling coach. He then stepped into the role of Athletic Director and has had that role for the past 13 years. During that time, he also acquired his Certified Master Athletic Administrator designation and served as an IADA and National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA) member.
Soldan has mentored more than 10 first-time athletic directors and has held leadership roles such as South Suburban Conference (SSC) President twice, Northern Illinois School Officials Committee (NISOC) Representative for eight years and SSC Webmaster for eight years. His work at EPCHS was highlighted with the many state series he hosted and the many facilities improvements that have taken place at the school.

EPCHS annually brings back Conference championships as well as IHSA playoff births and posts-season titles.
Mr. Soldan said this about the recognition, "It's an honor to win this Award and I could not have done my job successfully without the support of my wife, (Kristyn) children, (Maddy/Aidan) and the fantastic coaching and support staff at Evergreen Park. Go Mustangs!"
