EPCHS Fine Arts Presents 'The SpongeBob Musical'

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — Join all of your Nickelodeon friends on the quest to save Bikini Bottom from destruction when Evergreen Park Community High School hits the boards in, “The SpongeBob Musical.” Performances are Feb. 18 through Feb. 20, which includes a meet-the-cast-character luncheon matinée package.

Based on the iconic Nickelodeon animated series, the musical chronicles the nautical and sometimes nonsensical adventures of SpongeBob, an incurable optimist and earnest sea sponge, and his undersea friends. The Broadway production of “The SpongeBob Musical” earned its place on numerous “Best of Broadway” lists in 2017, and was the most Tony-nominated musical of the 2017-2018 theater season, winning for Best Scenic Design of a Musical, according to a show bio on Concord Theatricals.

The musical will be performed in person at Evergreen Park Community High School, 9901 S. Kedzie Ave. Performances are at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18 and Saturday, Feb. 19; with a 2 p.m. matinée on Sunday, Feb. 20. Adult tickets for all shows are $6; and $5 for seniors/students.
