EVERGREEN PARK, IL — The number retirement ceremony for Jim Adduci has been postponed due to rain.

Jim Adduci, a former Major League Baseball player who played for the Chicago Cubs, among other teams, will have his uniform number – #1 – retired at his high school alma mater, Evergreen Park Community High School.

Adduci graduated from EPCHS in 2003. He's currently an instructor for the White Sox Academy.

The ceremony will take place before the Mustangs’ home game against Tinley Park High School at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 5. The fields are located behind the high school at 99th Street and Kedzie Avenue, off 99th Street.

Also, a reminder that Donn Pall Night will take place on May 16.
