EPCHS Star Cheerleader Mary Grace Kane Signs Letter of Intent
Mary Grace Kane, a senior cheerleader at Evergreen Park Community High School, has made her college commitment to attend Western Colorado.
EVERGREEN PARK, IL – Mary Grace Kane, a senior cheerleader at Evergreen Park Community High School, has made her college commitment. The 4-year varsity cheerleader will be headed to Western Colorado University in the fall.
In front of her teammates, parents, siblings and coaches, Kane signed her letter of intent with Western Colorado, an NCAA Division II school in Gunnison, Colorado, on Tuesday at EPCHS.
“Over the last four years I have seen Mary Grace succeed not only as an athlete, but in the classroom,” EPCHS Head Cheerleading Coach Rachael Mayo said.

Kane is among the most involved students at EPCHS as a member of the school’s swim/dive team, a student ambassador for the Evergreen Park Community High School District 231 board of education and attendee of the annual Snowball retreat.
Mayo praised her leadership skills, and is excited to see her succeed in college.

“I am confident that her level of leadership, commitment, and grit will contribute to her success at Western Colorado University,” Mayo said. “I am so excited to see all that she will accomplish.”
