EPCHS Students Earn AP Scholar Recognition

Evergreen Park Community High School students and 2018 graduates recognized for their academic achievements by The College Board.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL -- Seventeen current students and from last year’s graduating class from Evergreen Park Community High School were acknowledged for achieving AP Scholar recognition by the The College Board. The students were congratulated during an all-school assembly in the school gym on Oct, 22. Each student received a "Mustang Pride" lawn sign and a round of applause from the entire student body and staff.

The College Board honors outstanding performances on AP exams with several levels of recognition. In addition to the 17 AP Scholars, an additional 41 students can potentially earn college credit for receiving at least one 3 or higher on an AP exam. The College Board’s Advanced Placement Program offers students the opportunity to take college-level courses while still in high school, and to receive college credit, advanced placement, or both for successful performance on AP exams.

EPCHS students who received scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP exams (AP Scholars) include 2018 graduates Benas Alcauskas, David Gutierrez, Dana Kahn, Ryan Kompare, Jocelyn Quintas, Blake Rabodzeenko, Kenneth Rickert, Aarielle Riley, Christopher Tenbrink LaBreck, Cianna Valdez; and current seniors Aidan Doogan, Julie Frederickson, and Hannah Rahm.

Students who received an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP exams taken, with scores of 3 or higher on four or more on those exams (AP Scholar with Honor) include 2018 graduate Cooper Nolan and current senior Kayla Benson.

Earning AP Scholar with Distinction status are are 2018 graduates Stella Tarlin and Alexie Telstad. These students received an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more on these exams.

The additional 41 EPCHS students who received at least one 3 or higher on an AP exam and can potentially earn college credit are 2018 graduates Ronald Allen, Areli Amaro, Faith Bain, Mara Bracken, Tauryn Brown, Mallory Burke, Audrey Fetcho, Maritza Garcia, Logan Kantzler, Elizabeth MacDonald, Margaret Miller, Cullin Moonan, Myles Neal, Adriana Odom, Haley Oresky, Giana Pietkiewicz, Gizelle Serna, Lena Smith, Querron Smith, Nyssa Wagner, Tessa Wisneski; current seniors Kennede Chatman, Richard Corona, Kayley Elgersma, Martin Elwood, Allison Espinal, Emma Ferriter, Tessa Foley, Regina Gonzalez, Neema Griffin, Brian Gutrich, Isabelle Haun, Grace Huneck, Henry Lee, Kathleen Malone, Anna Sieloff, Sierra Spencer-Paredes, Kristopher Symanski; and current juniors Angela Bosch and Kallista Elwood.
