The Evergreen Park High School theatre department will kick off its 2016 performance season with a staging of the toe-tapping musical, “Thoroughly Modern Millie.”
The musical is based on the 1967 film of the same name, which follows the adventures of a small town girl from Kansas, who moves to New York City, looking to marry for money instead of love, a thoroughly modern aim for 1922. What Millie Dillmount encounters instead are flappers, sexuality and white slavers.
