EPSD 124 superintendent bakes gingerbread cookies with Pre-K students

Students learned the importance of following directions, washing their hands, measuring, mixing, and much more

Evergreen Park School District 124 Superintendent Dr. Robert Machak helped one of the District’s Pre-K classes bake gingerbread cookies on Monday, Sept. 18.

Dr. Machak and Pre-K teacher Mrs. Liz White taught the students about following directions, washing their hands, measuring, mixing, and much more. The lesson provided the kids with the opportunity to learn valuable math and science skills through the joyful process of baking cookies.

Mrs. White and Dr. Machak read a Gingerbread Man book aloud to the students as the cookies were baking, and when they finished reading, the kids were able to taste their wonderful creations.
