Evergreen Park Candlelight Theatre Holding Open Auditions for 'Barefoot in the Park'
All roles re being cast. Auditions will be held Jan. 29.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL -- Evergreen Park Candlelight Theatre is holding open auditions for its spring production of Neil Simon’s classic romantic comedy “Barefoot in the Park.” The auditions will take place on Sunday, Jan. 29 at 3 p.m. at the Evergreen Park Senior Center, 9547 S. Homan Avenue.
All roles are being cast. The play covers four days in the lives of a newlywed couple as they adjust to married life on the top floor of New York City brownstone. The wife, Corie Bratter, tries to loosen up her uptight lawyer husband by suggesting they run ‘barefoot in the park.”
The production dates are Friday through Sunday, April 21 through April 23. Roles to be cast include:

Paul Bratter. . . .mid-20s, newlywed and lawyer
Corie Bratter. . .his wife, early 20s, very much in love, very engaging personality
Mrs. Banks. . .Corie's mother, mid-40s
Victor Velasco. . .the bachelor neighbor, 50ish, very eccentric and suave

Delivery Man
Auditions will consist of readings from the script as assigned that day. Rehearsals will take place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and Sunday afternoons. Tech week begins Monday, April 17.
