Evergreen Park Candlelight Theatre Performs 'An Evening of One-Acts'
Featured are two chestnuts and a brand new, one-act comedy specifically penned for the community players on Sept. 10 and Sept. 11.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL -- The Evergreen Park Candlelight Theatre is presenting an evening of one-act plays coming up on Sept. 10 and Sept. 11.
The community theatre players will perform two old chestnuts, as well as a new one-act comedy penned especially for the Candlelight Theatre. First up is the chilling stage version of the 1948 classic thriller, “Sorry, Wrong Number.” An invalid woman overhears a murder plot on a crossed telephone line and tries to prevent it from happening. Eventually she figures out that she listed in on the plan for her own murder.
The inspiring, heartwarming family fable, “The Arkansaw Bear,” tells the story of a young girl saddened and bewildered by her grandfather’s approaching death. She runs outside to her “special tree” where she conjures up a dancing bear.
