EVERGREEN PARK, IL -- Most Holy Redeemer School in Evergreen Park is spiffing up its halls and classrooms in anticipation of National Catholic Schools Week, which begins Jan. 26 and runs through Feb. 1. Each year, the last week of January is set aside where Catholic schools observe with week with Masses, open houses and other activities for students, families, parishioners and community members. The theme for National Catholic Schools Week 2020 is "Catholic Schools: Learn. Serve. Lead. Succeed."

The open house begins with a 9:30 a.m. family mass this Sunday, Jan. 26, followed by the open house where families can meet the teachers, view student work and register. MHR is located at 9525 S. Lawndale Ave. in Evergreen Park.

Queen of Martyrs marks Catholic Schools week with a 9:30 a.m. mass, followed by an open house and book fair from 10:30 a.m. to noon, Sunday, Jan. 26. A second open house is planned for 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, followed by family bingo from 7 to 8 p.m.
