Evergreen Park Catholic Schools Host Open Houses This Sunday

EVERGREEN PARK, IL -- Most Holy Redeemer School and Queen of Martyrs School are spiffing up their halls and classrooms in anticipation of National Catholic Schools Week, which begins Jan. 27 and runs through Feb. 2. Each year, the last week of January is set aside where Catholic schools observe with week with Masses, open houses and other activities for students, families, parishioners and community members. The theme for National Catholic Schools Week 2019 is "Catholic Schools: Learn. Serve. Lead. Succeed."

Most Holy Redeemer School, 9525 S. Lawndale Ave., Evergreen Park

Most Holy Redeemer will hold a 9:30 a.m. family Mass, followed by an open house where families can meet the teachers, view student work and register. MHR offers:

Queen of Martyrs School, 3550 W. 103rd St., Evergreen Park

Queen of Martyrs School will host a 9:30 a.m. family Mass on Jan. 27, followed by an open house from 10:30 a.m. to noon. A second open house will be held Jan. 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. The open houses offer families that chance to tour the school and meet teachers and staff. Queen of Martyrs educates the whole child: mentally, physically and spiritually, in our preschool through eighth grade classes. Visit the science and computer labs and see them in action.
