Evergreen Park D124 Teachers Reach Tentative Contract Agreement
School board still needs to sign off on tentative agreement, union president says.

After a summer of bargaining, Dist, 124 school teachers announced the has reached a tentative agreement with the school board for a new contract.
Evergreen Park Federation of Teachers President Linda Blaeser, a kindergarten teacher and 17-year veteran of Evergreen Park Schools who leads negotiations for the union issued the following statement on Tuesday:
“The Evergreen Park Federation of Teachers has voted to approve the tentative agreement with the Board of Education. We are looking forward to another successful school year this fall.
“The next step in the process is for the Board of Education to sign off on the tentative agreement. We will share details of the agreement after the Board votes.”

Evergreen Park Elementary Dist. 124 includes the village’s four K-5 elementary schools, Southeast, Southwest, Northeast and Northwest, and Central Middle School, which serves students in grades 6-8..
