Evergreen Park Firefighters Deploy To Louisiana To Help With Ida

The Evergreen Park Fire Department joined a Fire Engine Strike Team with 33 other departments to assist in the aftermath of Hurricane Ida.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — The Evergreen Park Fire Department joined a Fire Engine Strike Team Wednesday headed for Louisiana to aid first responders in the aftermath of Hurricane Ida. The team was deployed by Gov. J.B. Pritzker.

Fire engines from Marseilles, Aurora, Elburn, Palos, Erie and South Elgin were part of a deployment from 33 different fire departments throughout Illinois. The first responders are members of the Mutual Aid Box Alarm System (MABAS-Illinois).
