EVERGREEN PARK, IL — Evergreen Park Community High School's traditional 2021 homecoming parade makes its triumphant return this Friday, Sept. 24. The parade steps off at 3:30 p.m. and features bands, floats, teams and clubs, along with the Homecoming King and Queen.

Come out and support the Mustangs. Goodies will be handed out to kids along the parade route. The parade steps off from EPCHS, 9901 S. Kedzie Ave., proceeding west on 100th Street to Clifton Park; south to 101st Street, then east to Sawyer Avenue.

The parade turns north on Sawyer back to the high school at Kedzie and 100th Street. Motorists should anticipate street closures for an hour or so on Friday afternoon.

Each class has chosen a city to represent in their decorations (float, hall, window): freshmen, Chicago; sophomores, Tokyo; juniors, New Orleans; and seniors, Hollywood.

This year’s homecoming court includes Rosebud Summers, Gabby McKinney, Josiah Ketchum, Kristen Smith, Kailen Curran and the Senior Court: Akirah Fort, Taylor Jones, April Kirts, Malik Kelly, Eric Mouzon and Quincy Whiteside.

The Mustangs take on the Argo High School Argonauts at 7 p.m. for the varsity matchup.
