According to the charges, the 14-year-old girl came home around 12:30 a.m. May 15 and told her parents she had been sexually assaulted and held against her will.
The prosecutor said the girl and a friend were picked up by Martinez the night before around 11 p.m. Martinez, who was known to the girls’ circle of friends, dropped off the friend; then took the 14-year-old for a drive in downtown Chicago.

During the ride, Martinez allegedly touched her in a sexual manner near I-55 and Cicero Avenue. The girl told him to stop.
Martinez then drove the girl to his family’s home in the 9200 block of South Harding Avenue, the prosecutor said.
He pulled the girl out of the truck and took her downstairs to his bedroom in the basement, the prosecutor said.
During the assaults, Martinez ignored the girl's cries to stop.
Martinez’s attorney said that his client has no criminal background. He is a graduate of LaSalle High School and attended Daley College for two years. He works for his uncle.
The attorney asked the judge for a reasonable bond.
Judge Felice set bail at $750,000. He ordered Martinez to wear a GPS tracking device should he bond out. Martinez is not to have contact with anyone under the age of 18 and to stay 500 feet away from a park or school.
The judge told Martinez he is not to contact the girl. If convicted, both charges carry prison terms.
Martinez is due back in court June 15 in Bridgeview.
