Evergreen Park Plans Homecoming For Olympian Abbey Murphy
Come out and greet Women's Hockey Team USA silver medalist Abby Murphy on her triumphant return from the Beijing games Thursday, Feb. 24.
EVERGREEN PARK, IL — Join Mayor Kelly Burke, Clerk Cathy Aparo and village trustees in welcoming hometown Olympian Abbey Murphy back from the Bejiing Winter Games. Residents are asked to gather at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, at the corner of 92nd Street and Ridgeway.
Murphy and her Women's Hockey Team USA teammates won the silver medal in the final showdown against Canada. Bring your American and Olympic flags and welcome home this homegrown Olympian.
