The Evergreen Park Police Department is accepting applications for the position of police officer through Feb. 10.
Interested candidates can apply online at IOS Recruitment Solutions. There is a $35 application fee.
Candidates must also attend a mandatory the mandatory orientation and written exam on Saturday, March 12. Please arrive no later than 8:30 a.m. with a photo ID (driver’s license, state ID, military ID) to sign-in.

Here’s some more information about the applications process.
Minimum Requirements:
- $35 non-refundable application fee.
- At least 21 years of age on February 10, 2016.
- Physically and psychologically qualified to sustain the labors and exposures of a Police Patrol Officer.
- Minimum of 20/70 uncorrected vision, corrected to 20/20 in each eye, with normal color and depth perception.
- No criminal convictions for felonies or certain misdemeanor offenses; good moral character
- Candidates must establish domicile within a 15-mile radius of the Village no later than 24 months following their initial date of hire.
- Legal Resident status.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Successfully completed at least 30 semester hours from an accredited college or university as of February 10, 2016.
- Speak, read and write the English language fluently.
- Possess a Valid Driver’s License from state of residency.
- MUST possess a Valid Peace Officer Wellness Evaluation Report (POWER) Test Card issued from a licensed agency within one (1) year PRIOR to March 12, 2016** (cards valid ONLY if issued between 3.12.15 – 3.12.16).
