Evergreen Park Police Taking Applications For Eligibility List
Do you aspire to a law enforcement career? Evergreen Park police are taking applications for the eligibility list through Aug. 6.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — The Evergreen Park Police Department is expanding its eligibility list for people who aspire to a career in law enforcement. Applicants must be age 22 and no older than age 35 by Aug. 6, 2021, the deadline to apply. Applications must be received by 2 p.m. Recruitment is being organized by Oakbrook-based IOS Recruitment
Candidates must attend the mandatory orientation and written examination on Saturday, Aug. 28, 2021. Doors will open for sign-in at 8 a.m. please arrive no later than 8:30 a.m. Bring a photo ID to sign in. There will be no late admittance. Testing will take place at Saint Xavier University, 3700 W 103rd St, Chicago.
Once you complete the online application, you will receive a confirmation number. You will also need to print and sign the consent and release agreement and gather the required documentation for submission to IOS Solutions by 2 p.m. Aug. 6.

There is a $35 non-refundable application fee. Mail or hand deliver the application and required documentation to: IOS Solutions, 1520 Kensington Rd Suite 110, Oak Brook, IL 60523.
The starting salary the first year is $66,411, with an increase to $80,703 after one year, to $98,363 after five years.

- U.S Citizenship or Legal Resident Status
- 22 years of age and no more than 35 years of age at time of application deadline
- Possess a Valid Driver’s License from state of residency
- Candidates must establish domicile within a 15-mile radius of the Village no later than 24 months following their initial date of hire
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Must possess a valid drivers license from state of residency
- Successfully completed at least 30 semester hours from an accredited college or university as of application deadline (8/6/2021).
- Speak, read and write the English language fluently
- No criminal convictions for felonies or certain misdemeanor offenses; good moral character
- Minimum of 20/70 uncorrected vision, corrected to 20/20 in each eye, with normal color and depth perception
- Physically and psychologically qualified to sustain the labors and exposures of a Police Patrol Officer
- MUST possess a Valid Peace Officer Wellness Evaluation Report (POWER) Test Card issued from a licensed agency within one (1) year PRIOR to exam date (Aug. 28, 2021) Cards will be considered valid ONLY if issued between Aug. 28, 2020 and Aug. 28, 2021.

- Copy of high school diploma/GED
- Copy of valid driver’s license
- Copy of birth record
- Original/Official college transcripts (showing at least 30 successful semester hours)
- Copy of valid POWER test card (must be issued Aug. 28, 2020 to Aug. 28, 2021)
- If applicable, copy of DD214 Long form including character of discharge
