Evergreen Park Seeks Vendors For FantaSciFest

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — With another successful Oktoberfest under its belt, the Village of Evergreen Park is turning its attention to a new kind of fest: its second annual FantaSciFest, a day-long celebration of fantasy, sci-fi, and comic books that will take place at the Evergreen Park Senior Center on Oct. 30 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The event will feature day-long games of Dungeons and Dragons, a film program, and family-friendly cosplay. The Evergreen Park Recreation Department is also now accepting registrations for artists and vendors to snag a booth for just $20. Anyone interesting in displaying or selling their artwork and merchandise can request an application from epfantascifest@gmail.com or visit the Community Center at 3450 W. 97th Street.

The event will be free, and refreshments are located onsite. Masks will be mandatory, even with a Star Trek costume.

The Village is also planning an annual Halloween Parade for Friday, Oct. 29 from 6 to 7:30 at 50-Acre Park. The event will include a costume parade, hayrides, a pumpkin patch, goodie bags, and more. The Barn will be open so that children can meet its animals.
