Evergreen Park Will Unveil New Mural Honoring Local Veterans

A new community-based mural honoring the sacrifices of Evergreen Park veterans will be unveiled Thursday, Nov. 10, in Veterans Park.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — A community-based mural honoring the military will be dedicated Thursday, Nov. 10, in Evergreen Park. The dedication will take place at 6 p.m. in Veterans Park, 97th Place and California Avenue.

Local artist Dan Doyle coordinated the community-based art project. Residents were invited in late September to help paint the mural. Doyle and Mayor Kelly Burke will unveil the final piece at Veterans in recognition of the sacrifice of local veterans. The Honor Guard from the American Legion Post 854 will present the colors.
