Family Fun Fest Marks Evergreen Park Library's 75th Anniversary
Help the Evergreen Park Public Library celebrate the big 7-5 at a family fun fest this Saturday, Sept. 7.
EVERGREEN PARK, IL — Help the Evergreen Park Public Library celebrate the big 7-5 this Saturday, Sept. 7. The library is hosting a FREE Fun Fest for families from 10 a.m. to noon, featuring demonstrations, games, reading and more.
The Evergreen Park library threw open its doors 75 years ago on Sept. 7, 1944, and hasn’t looked back since. Fun Fest highlights include:
- Chef Mario will demonstrate how to make Green Eggs and Ham,
- Clifford the Big Red Dog special story time,
- Local gardening expert Bob Erlich discussing the butterfly garden and seed library,
- Library history display by the Evergreen Park Historical Society,
- Library matching game,
- Library card sign up and Cat in the Hat stacking game,
- Library technologies tech table,
- And, of course, cake.
