Gimme 5: Evergreen Park's Ziebarth Dominates the Field and the Lab
EP senior Teresa Ziebarth is a returning all-conference softball performer and a pre-med hopeful.
Evergreen Park senior softball player Teresa Ziebarth is not afraid to back down from a challenge. The challenges she wants to overcome definitely come on the softball field.
“I love the challenges,” Ziebarth said. “I like the feeling of winning and beating the competition.”
Ziebarth, who plays everything but pitcher and catcher, started playing softball at the age of 5, largely due to the influence of her father, who at one point tried out for the White Sox.

She loves making the diving plays and turning double plays, and she’s a returning all-conference shortstop.
Ziebarth also loves overcoming challenges in the classroom, so much so that she plans on studying chemistry and pre-med at UIC in the fall.

“I like how things go together chemically and physically,” Ziebarth said. “It just amazes me.”
