Hoist A Stein Saturday At Evergreen Park All-Ages Oktoberfest

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — Raise a stein this Saturday, Oct. 8, at Evergreen Park Oktoberfest. The all-ages event runs from 2 to 9 p.m. at Evergreen Park Community Center in Klein (Circle) Park, 3450 W. 97th St.

Oktoberfest features plenty of activities for the young folks from 2 to 6 p.m., including a live family music show, kids tent, pony rides, petting zoo, Touch-A-Truck, face painting, bouncy houses and more.

There is also an exciting lineup for the adults (or, the “young at heart”) with a Beer Garden, DJ, line dancing and a Stein-Hoisting Contest (officiated by the EP Podcast’s Chris Lanuti), capped off with a live performance by the SunFallen Band, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Food options include brats by the Evergreen Park Fire Department, plus the delicacies of Barraco’s, Tone Capone Taco Truck, and the Evergreen Park Youth Department’s famous hot dogs.

Also joining Oktoberfest are EP Podcast, EP Lions Club, the Evergreen Park Library, EP Youth Department, fire and police departments and public works department.
