EVERGREEN PARK, IL — Decorate a pumpkin, watch a spooky movie and march in a Halloween Parade this Friday, Oct. 25. The Halloween costume parade steps off at 6 p.m. at 50-Acre Park, 91st Street and Rockwell Avenue, followed by activities through 7:30 p.m. This is one of Evergreen Park's most beloved Halloween traditions.

Children up to 11 years old are welcome to participate. After the parade, hang around for the party. Pick out a pumpkin (one per child) from the pumpkin patch (donated by Pete's Fresh Market) and decorate it. Enjoy light refreshments, watch a Halloween movie and take a hay ride. Every child gets a goodie bag to take home.

During the party, the barn will be open for tours and visits with the animals who will also be in costumer. We’re sure that the horses Jack, Turk and Ariel, and goats Clark and Addison will have some treats for the kiddos. Be sure to stop by and show them your costume.
