'The Lightning Thief' Musical Lights Up The EPCHS Stage This Weekend

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — Evergreen Park Community High School fine arts department hits the boards in “The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical” from Feb. 17 to Feb. 19 in the Marshall G. Batho Auditorium at Evergreen Park Community High School, 9901 S. Kedzie Ave.

Based on the New York Times bestseller by Rick Riordan, this family musical tells the story of teenager Percy Jackson, who discovers he’s a demigod. Percy and his friends embark on an epic journey to find Zeus' missing lightning bolt and prevent a war among the gods.

Show times are 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 17, and Saturday, Feb. 18 and 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 19. A "Meet the Cast" luncheon is available for the Sunday matinée; lunch begins at noon in the cafeteria.
