Little Company of Mary Hospital's Breast Center 'America's Best'

EVERGREEN PARK, IL -- Little Company of Mary Hospital has received the America’s Best Breast Centers’ 2018 Women’s Choice Award. This is the fifth consecutive year that the Evergreen Park hospital has been recognized with the prestigious award. The designation is the only award that identifies the country’s best breast centers based on robust criteria that considers female patient satisfaction and clinical excellence.

The award signifies that LCMH is in the top eight percent of 4,812 U.S. hospitals offering breast care services. By carrying the evidence-based designation of the Women’s Choice Award seal, Little Company of Mary’s Nationally Accredited Comprehensive Breast Health Center has signified its commitment to a global mission to elevate the patient experience for women and all patients.

The methodology used to select LCMH as one of America’s Best Breast Centers is unique in that it evaluates Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems survey results along with primary research about women’s healthcare preferences.

The list of 384 award winners, including LCMH, represents breast centers that have met the highest standards of breast care in the nation as set by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers and carry the Breast Imaging Center of Excellence seal from the American College of Radiology.

Breast cancer is the second most common form of cancer among American women according to the American Cancer Society. One in eight women in the U.S. will develop invasive breast cancer during their lifetime.
