Man picked up new retail theft charge at Evergreen Park Walmart, prosecutors said.

A man with 84 arrests was picked up on a retail theft charge at the Evergreen Park Walmart, prosecutors said in court on Tuesday.

Willie Gude, 58, was arrested on Tuesday when he attempted to walk out of Walmart, 2500 W. 95th St., Evergreen Park, with merchandise that he did not pay for, prosecutors said.

Gude told Cook County Judge John Gallagher that he served in the U.S. Marine Corps under President John F. Kennedy. Later, he changed his branch of service to the Air Force. Gude would have been four years old when Kennedy was elected president in 1960.
