Deceased Man Identified in Evergreen Park Shooting

Evergreen Park police say the suspected shooter is still at large.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — The Cook County Medical Examiner has identified a man who was found shot to death Sunday evening in Evergreen Park as 25-year-old Aladin Jamaleddin. An autopsy will be performed on Monday.

Evergreen Park police went to 9125 S. St. Louis Ave. around 7:19 p.m. for a report of shots being fired. Officers found a man, later identified as Jamaleddin, on the ground. He was rushed to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he was pronounced deceased at 7:52 p.m.

Police said the suspect is still at large. The suspect’s identity is unknown. The South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force has been activated and is assisting in the investigation.
