Most Holy Redeemer Carnival 2021: What You Need To Know

The Most Holy Redeemer Carnival is coming back July 29 through Aug. 1, featuring bands, rides, food, music and more in Evergreen Park.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — It’s back. The Most Holy Redeemer Parish Carnival is returning for four fabulous days this coming weekend, July 29 through Aug. 1, featuring live music, beverages of all types, eats, big rides, games and more. The Most Holy Redeemer Church will be held in the church parking lot at 95th Street Lawndale Avenue in Evergreen Park.

With many south suburban parishes canceling their summer soirées for a second year in a row, MHR’s carnival offers nightly entertainment, raffles, a beer garden, rides, games and food from Evergreen Park’s finest restaurants.

MHR festival hours are 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday, July 29, and Friday, July 30; 4 to 10 p.m. Saturday, July 30; and 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, 3 to 7 p.m.

Unlimited ride specials are being offered for $25 from 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday, and 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday. Prime Time unlimited ride specials are available for $30 from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, and 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday.

MRH welcomes Barraco's, Edgar’s Tacos and Nachos, Mr. Freeze Ice Cream, Big Jim’s Donuts and Fat Tommy’s Hotdogs to the food court. The MHR Men’s Club will be serving up brats, pop and water.

Other highlights include carnival rides provided by Windy City Amusements, games, DJ, Turbo Queen of Hearts, split-the-pot raffles, pull tabs, children's face painting (Saturday and Sunday) and MORE.

The beer garden will be open all four days offering craft and domestic beers, with different community groups tending bar each evening.

Live music will also be performed every night starting around 8 p.m. in the beer garden (21 and up). The featured lineup includes:

Fri., July 30Chicago Stockyard Kilty Band and Rocks Off (Rolling Stones tribute band)
Sat., July 31SunFallen (county rock)
Sun., Aug. 1 — Brian Lawler and American Hustle (1960s and 1970s cover rock)
