How do you know your graduating student nominee?
Science Teacher - Ms. Ireland
Tell us why they deserve to be nominated!
They were the best 6th graders & my “1st babies” (as I affectionately call them) at CMS as a Science Teacher: (Team A in particular but I also got to know Team B as well). Back then there were 5 classes (1st, 2nd, 5th, 6th, 7th periods). They always asked who was my “favorite class” - my secret was posted in my end of the year farewell message to each class & their parents, “ALL of them.” The love they got from me was definitely reciprocated 100 fold. We had so much fun in my classes learning about the rock cycle, CER method, plate tectonics, living/non-living things & labs etc. I literally got hugs every day for the last 3 years (both Team A & Team B - 6th, 7th & 8th grade students). This is why me resigning this year & going to their graduation (6/6/24) was very special. The tears & final hugs on their last day of school were genuine. How proud I am of them all. I wish them the very best. They rose to my expectations and I have no doubt they will do the same wherever they go. 🥰💚
What's one thing you want everyone to know about your graduating student nominee?
These are some of the kindest & brightest students. They asked me to keep in touch & I will. “Be ready so you don’t have to get ready.” 😉
Congratulations on your achievements, and all of our best wishes to you in the future, Entire 8th Grade Class ‘24!
