Mustang Competitive Dance Team Qualifies For State Competition
Evergreen Park finished 2nd at the Geneva sectional over the weekend, and will perform in Bloomington on Friday.
EVERGREEN PARK, IL – The Evergreen Park Community High School varsity competitive dance team has qualified for the IHSA state competition. The Mustangs' second place finish at the Geneva sectionals on Saturday earned them one of 30 spots at state.
The state competition will be Friday, Jan. 28 at the Grossinger Motor Arena in Bloomington. The 30 teams will be competing for 10 spots in the finals.
Evergreen Park's dancers are scheduled to perform their "Rise and Fall" routine at 2:17 p.m.

"We are so excited that this team is state bound," Head Coach Marion Castillo said. "Way to go, ladies. Wish them luck."
