EVERGREEN PARK, IL – James Williams, a running back and linebacker for the Evergreen Park Community High School football team, has been named the 2021 South Suburban Red Conference Player of the Year.
Williams, a senior, is a four-year starter at running back and a three-year starter at linebacker for the Mustangs. He has been instrumental in the team’s success this season, helping guide Evergreen Park to a 6-3 regular season record and a berth in the IHSA Class 5A football playoffs as a No. 8 seed.
“James has been a key to our ability to become competitive,” Evergreen Park Community High School head football coach Jerry Verde said. “His work ethic and ability has led others in our program to work harder.”
