Nick Capuano Scores Tie Goal With Six Seconds Left in Game

There was an extra man on the ice Saturday at the St. Jude Knights Hockey Club. With six seconds left in the game, young Nick Capuano scored the tie goal against the Maulers.

The hockey club where Nick’s dad, Dan, a firefighter who lost his life last week in the line of duty was a coach, asked parents and fans to pack the stands for Nick, 12, and his brother, Andrew, 13, for their weekend games.

The boys had just buried their father on Friday. 

Never had a tie goal felt like a win, and many remarked that it was good to see Nick smile again.
