Tom lived a life defined by hard work, loyalty, and deep love for his family and friends.

Thomas Martin Jebens, age 56, of Minooka, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026. Born on June 15, 1969, in Evergreen Park, Tom lived a life defined by hard work, loyalty, and deep love for his family and friends.

Tom was the proud owner of JebCo Construction. Throughout his lifelong career in telecommunications, he was also a co-owner of Matrix Engineering and worked for TCI and Wide Open West. He took great pride in his work and built lasting relationships through his dedication and integrity.

A devoted Chicago Cubs fan, Tom was especially proud to have witnessed their history World Series victory. He loved attending live concerts and never passed up an opportunity to enjoy good music and good company.

More than anything, Tom treasured his role as grandfather. He adored his grandsons, Billy and Parker McMillan, and found immense joy in being their Grandpa. He was known for being a true friend- always selfless, always willing to help, and someone others could count on without hesitation.

He is survived by the love of his life, Kathy; his daughter, Lindsay (Billy) McMillan; his son, Austin Glover; his cherished grandsons, Billy and Parker McMillan; his father, Curt Jebens; his brother, Steve (Shelly) Jebens; his sister, Lisa Poorman; his mother-in-law, Adele Carlen; his father-in-law, William (Sandra) VanCleave; his sisters-in-law, Rebecca (Robert) Peacock and Kimberly (Jacob) Alcaraz; brother-in-law, Lucas VanCleave; his nieces and nephews, Katie (Richard) Oswald, Alison (Brandon) Hochstatter, Melissa (Jordan) Kremer, Meghan and Tommy Poorman, Amber (Jake) Heckler, Dylan (Faith Cunning) Peacock and Archer and Aria Alcaraz; and his cherished great-nieces and great-nephews, Preston, Maddie, Chloe, Callie Sue, Emmalynn, Joanna, McKenna, Teagan, and Nash, along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Tom is preceded in death by his mother, Diane Jebens.

Tom's memory will live on in the countless lives he touched through his generosity, loyalty, and unwavering love for his family.

A Celebration of Life honoring Tom Jebens will take place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 12 Noon until 4 p.m. at the Morris VFW, 309 McKinley Street and Route 47, Morris, IL 60450.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name can be made to Cancer Research at the University of Chicago Hospital.
