Pipes and Drums Band of the CPD Fundraiser this Sunday, Oct. 12

Join the Pipes and Drums of the Chicago Police Department band and their fans for a 15th anniversary fundraiser on Sunday, Oct. 12, from 3 to 8 p.m. at 115 Bourbon Street. More than two dozen current and former Chicago police officers play in the band, which led last year’s South Side Irish St. Patrick’s Day Parade and appeared in the 2008 Batman movie “The Dark Knight.” Tickets cost $20 with proceeds going to support the band’s activities. The band receives no money from the Chicago Police Department. The event at 3359 W. 115th St. coincides with Sunday’s Chicago Bears game, and there will be a Pipes and Drums performance during halftime.
