Play Cow Pie Bingo At St. Gianna Molla And Win Some Moooooooolah

St. Gianna Molla, formerly Queen of Martyrs St. Bernadette, will host cow pie bingo, a children's petting zoo, live music and more June 25.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — Are you ready to win some mooooooolah? St. Gianna Molla Church, formerly known as Queen of Martyrs St. Bernadette Parish, is hosting a Cow Pie Bingo game at the parish Sunday, June 25, after the 10:30 a.m. Mass.

The tradition was first started by St. Bernadette Parish before the merger with Queen of Martyrs. The parish underwent a name change earlier this month to St. Gianna Molla, signifying the unification of both parishes. The parish elementary school will retain the Queen of Martyrs name.

A “well-fed” cow will set loose on a grid on the Queen of Martyrs School campus, 3550 W. 103rd St. (St. Louis Avenue and 103rd Street), Evergreen Park. The owner of the square where the largest amount of “cow pie” lands wins $5,000. In addition, the second and third squares that have any amount of pie will win $500 each and the fourth and fifth square will win $250.

Tickets are $25 each and are on sale through June 16 or until they are sold out. Purchase them at the rectory of 708-423-8110. Only 900 tickets are available. Players must indicate their first, second, and third choice for each request submitted. Since the grid numbers will be assigned randomly, perhaps your favorite lucky number, a loved one’s birthday, any number between 100 and 999 will work. Numbers will be assigned first come, first serve. If none of the numbers players requested are available, players will be assigned a “quick pick” number that is randomly selected. Players will receive the ticket number assigned to them via email, with their number.

A random grid of 900 squares, each measuring 2X2 feet, will be built in the parking lot at 103rd Street and St. Louis Avenue. There will also be a children’s petting zoo, concessions for sale and live music by Da Good Times Band. Hopefully, the cow won’t be shy or constipated.
