Queen of Martyrs Pools Classroom Lysol Wipes For Advocate Christ
Queen of Martyrs donates disinfectant wipes from classroom closets to Advocate Christ Medical Center.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — Remember those tissues and disinfectant wipes parents sent with their kids’ on the first day of school? As the coronavirus continues to wreak havoc on area hospitals and their supplies, Queen of Martyrs School in Evergreen Park stepped in to do their part to help.
“We have Clorox and Lysol disinfectant wipes sitting in closets while Christ Hospital needs them now to help save lives today,” said Queen of Martyrs School Principal Kathleen Tomaszewski. “It’s really a no-brainer.”
With the school shut down the past few weeks and for the foreseeable future, Queen of Martyrs can afford to part with some of their cleaning supplies, so Tomaszewski loaded up her car and drove them to Advocate Christ Medical Center.

“This wasn’t just my decision. One of our school parents, Mrs. Konieczny, brought up the idea, so I asked the teachers if they would like to donate. I’m proud to say without hesitation they were all on board.”
“I’d also be remiss if I didn’t share the credit with all of our families who sent them in at the beginning of the year,” the principal added. “We were sure to keep some for ourselves for when we return, but a canister or two donated from each homeroom is going help.”
