Rally for Riley Benefit at 115 Bourbon Street 1/30/16
Come to 115 Bourbon Street Saturday 1/30/16 to support Riley Slovey and the Slovey family.
Riley Slovey
is 13 years old with a heart of gold. He is the big brother to Emily, and son of Russ and Lindsay. He is courageous, funny, kind & loves life. Riley has played baseball since the age of five. He loves snowboarding, baseball, golf, and Archery. Riley’s smile is contagious. On a January afternoon over 3 years ago, after weeks of complaining of headaches, the family received a phone call that would change their lives forever.
Riley was diagnosed with a Ganglioglioma, a brain tumor. As the tumor is located in the cerebellum and very close to his brain stem it’s not easily accessible. Riley has endured 2 brain surgeries, over 145 days in the hospital, MANY regimens of chemotherapy, and numerous blood and platelet transfusions so far. The Slovey’s are a strong family and their faith in God is helping them battle through, but their fight continues. Riley has a long and hard road ahead of him so please join us to support them both financially and emotionally in the Rally for Riley.
