Arrest warrant issued in alleged rapper-blogger beating in Evergreen Park.

An arrest warrant was issued for a rapper accused of beating up a blogger during an interview in Evergreen Park.
According to an Evergreen Park police detective, the blogger went to an address in the 9000 block of South Francisco Avenue on Jan. 11 to interview underground rappers.
While interviewing Malcolm Stribling, the 22-year-old rapper took a phone call. When Stribling came back, he started beating up the blogger, forcing him to say the words, “black lives matter,” the detective said.

Officers who responded to the incident said they could detect the odor of “fresh cannabis” inside the home. The blogger wouldn’t tell police if he had been smoking pot, the detective testified.
Police have tried to contact Stribling’s family, but said his family doesn’t know where he is.
Cook County Judge Peter Felice issued a warrant for Stribling’s arrest on a misdemeanor battery charge. The judge said hate crime charges could also be added.
